Freedom First is a member-owned cooperative, which means that membership with us also makes you an owner. Each year we set aside time to review the previous year's performance, vote on Board of Directors nominees, and discuss the upcoming year.
Each year we report on our earnings and financial condition, as well as on our commitment to our five critical goals:

  1. Remain safe and sound
  2. Improve the financial lives of our members
  3. Be a great place to work
  4. Increase the economic vitality and quality of life in our community
  5. Be a leader in corporate governance
The 2024 Annual Meeting will be conducted on May 9, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. via Zoom or in-person at the Freedom First Elmwood Headquarters located at 207 Bullitt Ave SE, Roanoke, VA 24013. The Zoom link will be posted to our website at 2:00 p.m. on May 9th.

Please note that we will be requiring proof of membership to attend, as this meeting is for members only. Please bring a government-issued photo ID for verification that you are a primary account holder. For security purposes, simply stating a member number will not be a sufficient way to confirm your identity. Thank you for your understanding.

For 2024, the Governance Committee has selected four candidates for the four open positions on the Volunteer Board of Directors. We will not have a formal voting election process for 2024 since the number of candidates submitted by the Nominating Committee to serve on the Volunteer Board in 2024 equals the number of open positions to be filled on the Volunteer Board.

The candidates are David Lowen, Keith Perry, Andrea Garland, and Kevin Byrd.

You can find the financial report inside the Annual Community Impact Report, linked below with previous years' annual reports.
